Obituary for
Terry Corbitt
Mr. Terry Starks Corbitt, son of Dr. John H. Corbitt and Mrs. Betty Starks Corbitt, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 22, 1973. As a young child, he relocated to South Carolina where he worshipped at Springfield Baptist Church, with his family and his father, the presiding pastor. At an early age, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Springfield Baptist Church. He was a member of the Youth Choir, Boy Scouts and a volunteer coach for the church’s basketball teams. He also participated in basketball and football activities hosted by the City of Greenville Recreation Department.
Terry attended J. L. Mann High School and Benedict College. After his matriculation at Benedict College, he utilized his God given gifts and talents as an independent contractor. Terry excelled in this arena and blessed many by renovating their homes.
In addition to his parents, Terry leaves to cherish his love and memories, six children: Caleb Golden, Terry Corbitt Jr., Taylor Corbitt, Tyra Corbitt, Julianna Corbitt and Terry Young; two grandchildren, Harmony and Majesty Brielle; former wife, Latrice Corbitt; one brother, Bruce (Rachel) Corbitt; one niece, Sydney Corbitt; one aunt, Betty Harris Corbitt; beloved cousins, other relatives and friends.
