Ruby McGee Smith  Flamm
Mrs. Ruby McGee Smith “Heavy” Flamm, 75, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Greenville Health System. Born in Piedmont, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles McGee, Sr., and Lucille Annie Pearl Jackson McGee.

She was a member of Gabriel AME Zion Church. She was a former usher at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She retired after 30 years of work from Quick As A Wink Cleaners.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Flamm and a daughter, Dorothy Dianne Jenkins.

Left to treasure many fond memories are her daughters, Rev. Mamie Johnson (Edward) Howell of Taylors, Ruby B. Smith of the home, Percilla L. Cummings, Brenda L. Jones, and Vickie A. Smith, all of Greenville; sons, Vau Louis Johnson, Jr., of Fountain Inn, William E. Johnson and James H. Johnson, Jr., both of Greenville; sisters, Mamie L. Cooley, Rev. Lela I. (John) Sullivan, both of Greenville, and Sheila M. (Willie) Miles of Slocumb, AL; brother, Charles McGee, Jr., of Greenville; grandson reared in the home, Monoleeto S. (LeShell) Smith of Greenville; eighteen grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
